Some of the writing series I was working on in the fall.

I made a thing!

This was my big woodworking project that I’ve been doing for the past two weeks. First time really working with the material, and first attempt at making furniture, and I think it turned out really well!

News

Hey! Happy Belated Holidays to everyone!

So I’ve been pretty busy, sorry for lack of art production. I’ve been playing with power tools and large, pointy things and making stuff with trees. I’ll post some images once I get my project done.

I’ll be graduating this coming May, so I will be participating in the BFA show at my school in March. This means I’ll probably be making a lot of stuff and putting a lot of stuff on here! Yay!

I also just got a wacom tablet, so expect sometime soonish some sketches from that thing.

If you are interested in what I reblog, all of that goes on my secondary tumblr: meltymint

Some Encounters (part of one of my BFAW class final projects)

A man – with old burn scars that cover his face, the spaces where there was a nose, a right hand, left hand fingers – flips through a Wonder Woman Comic.

A man aged 50-60 pushes an 80’s model baby carriage. It is empty and he has a cigarette between thin lips, casting a red glow on the underside of his nose.

Some of her squid slithered its way into my salad as the waitress’ arm tipped three degrees down, making my stomach quiver.

I stared holes through the train’s window as the musician accepted a piece of hard candy from a man with a limp. He put the candy on his tongue and then quickly back in its wrapper. When he looked up from the rejected sugar, his eyes caught mine. We held each other and tumbled out of Clark and Lake and into pitch, scraping at the back of each other’s retinas to find something. After seven seconds the train began to move and he smiled at me, dipping his head just enough that his top-knot lolled to the right.
